Wraparound and Holiday Club Manager

£10.37 per hr – 17.5 hours per week (3.5 hrs each p.m. – 2.45 – 6.15p.m.) & full time during Holidays (11 weeks per year 8.00 – 5.00 daily – excluding Xmas fortnight)

This is a permanent variable hours contract.

 

Wraparound SEN Assistant

£9 per hr – 6 hrs per week initially ( 3.15 – 6.15 p.m. – 2 days per week)

This is a temporary variable hours contract.

 

The Governors of Archbishop Benson CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Wraparound Manager and SEN Wraparound Assistant to join our committed, hard-working and motivated team.

The Wraparound Leader role involves working dynamically as part of a team which provides high quality care for children before and after school as well as during the holidays. Our Benson Buddies Club has been running successfully for a year now and is well used by our school families. The Manager role involves:

  • Taking the lead in managing staff rotas, absence and supervision.
  • Working with the Admin team to manage bookings and payments
  • Ordering resources and working with the kitchen team to order food.
  • Snack preparation
  • Ensuring the children have high quality, planned play experiences.
  • Building relationships with parents and school staff.

 

The SEN Wraparound Assistant role involves:

  • supporting a KS2 child with additional needs at the After School Wraparound Club. This will entail supporting snack and play activities.  Initially, the working hours would be two evenings per week 3.15 - 6.15p.m. whilst the child attends trial sessions, with the possibilty of increasing hours over additional evenings. Experience in working with children with ASD and personal care needs is essential.

SEND and SEMH Inclusion Manager

35 hours per week, term-time only permanent contract.

£24,000 -£28,000 (£12.44 - £14.51 per hour) p.a. pro rata across the year.

Our recent SIAMS Inspection Report graded our provision as ‘Excellent’ in all areas and celebrated our "…exceptional quality of inclusion…" and its "…transformational impact on (vulnerable pupils') lives and learning…"

 

Having made a strong start, we are now entering an exciting new phase of developing our provision even further. Our school governors are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who will play a pivotal role in moving the school forward and who will be a key member of the school's management team.

 

The Inclusion Manager will work directly with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies to reduce barriers to learning and develop the social, emotional and academic progress of children with complex SEND, SEMH, traumatic and/or vulnerable backgrounds across the primary age range. The role will include an exciting mix of: planning, leading and assessing aspects of individual and small group pupil learning; developing our inclusion curriculum further; liaising closely with carers and families; supporting, leading and managing a team of HLTAs and TAs; adapting and creating new systems, policies and procedures to enhance our provision and record keeping; further developing and leading on behaviour management systems and safeguarding of these pupils; leading on enhancing these pupils' physical learning environment and introducing proven, innovative best practice from current research.

 - be confident in using technology to support their role

 - have strong organisational skills and be able to use their initiative to work autonomously within agreed parameters to meet deadlines

 - have experience of leading teams and delivering change

 - be ambitious and keen to make a difference at Archbishop Benson School

Teacher Assistant

22.5 hrs (8.30 am – 1.00 pm daily)

 

The post is for term time only.

 

The post will entail working within our school based Inclusion team and in the classroom

 

The successful candidates must have:

  • The ability to work dynamically as a team member and  1:1 with pupils.
  • A creative, fun and engaging approach to learning.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly and proactively within a  

          rewarding but busy context.

  • Good communication skills and an ability to use own initiative
  • Successful and strong behaviour management skills (following the principles of

          the school Behaviour Policy closely) encompassing the principles of TIS and an

          empathetic approach to meeting children’s needs.

  • The ability to nurture and a commitment to Inclusion

 

The roles will entail:

Working with a range of pupils in class and pupils with additional needs across the working day in both the classroom and Nurture settings.

Working with children of different ages.

Supporting children with achieving academic progress and their SEMH development.

The role will also entail flexible working within the team and across the school day.
