Wraparound Assistant

We are looking to appoint a number of Wraparound Care Assistants to work flexibly in our Wraparound Club.

The club will open every day during term time from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. The school is looking to extend this provision into a Holiday Club in the future. The Club will be open to all children within ABB.


The key responsibilities will be to assist the Wraparound Leader in managing the daily running of ABB Wraparound Club, to maintain a safe, stimulating  and fun environment for play and relaxation and to create opportunities to encourage children’s social, emotional and physical development.

 

The role also includes maintaining high standards of safeguarding standards at all times.

 

We have flexibility within this role and would welcome discussions in order to find workable solutions.

The successful candidate must have:

 A creative, fun and engaging approach with children

  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly and proactively within a rewarding but busy context.
  • Good communication skills and an ability to use own initiative
  • Successful and strong behaviour management skills (following the principles of the school Behaviour Policy closely) encompassing the principles of TIS and an empathetic approach to meeting children’s needs.

Teaching Assistants 

We are looking to appoint 2 TAs  at £9.20 per hour

Hours to be agreed

 

Lunchtime Supervisor (also available) - £8.91 per hour - 5 hours per week

 

The post is for term time only.

The post will entail working  in the classroom  as well as with our school-based Inclusion Team.

 

The successful candidates must have:

  • The ability to work dynamically as a phase team member

          The ability to work confidently with pupil groups and 1:1 with pupils.

  • A creative, fun and engaging approach to learning.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly and proactively within a  

          rewarding but busy context.

  • Good communication skills and an ability to use own initiative
  • Successful and strong behaviour management skills (following the principles of

          the school Behaviour Policy closely) encompassing the principles of TIS and an

          empathetic approach to meeting children’s needs.

  • The ability to nurture and a commitment to inclusion

 

The roles will entail:

Working with a range of pupils in class and with pupils with additional needs across the working day in both the classroom and nurture settings.

Working with children of different ages.

Supporting children with achieving academic progress and their SEMH development.

The role will also entail flexible working within the team and across the school day.
