Full-time  EYFS Class Teacher  - Temporary with a view to becoming permanent

Due to our current EYFS teacher commencing maternity leave, the Governors of Archbishop Benson CE Primary School ( a stand alone academy) are seeking to appoint a full time class teacher from October 2023. Applications from candidates with EYFS teaching experience would be most welcome.

 

We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:

 

  • Has a specialism in EYFS through EYFS ITT or equivalent experience.
  • is able to deliver high quality and effective phonics teaching in order to sustain our high level of achievement in the Y1 phonics screening and, with support, develop their skills to lead Phonics across EYFS/KS1
  • Will be proactive in contributing to our ethos as a Church of England school
  • is highly motivated and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with strong class management skills
  • Has excellent subject knowledge and can deliver and model the curriculum creatively & cross-curricularly
  • Can offer areas of expertise that can further enhance the school
  • Maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment
  • has experience of the use of data and data analysis in EYFS and is able to create and deliver well-differentiated lessons for all pupils
  • has an excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and is able to motivate and challenge young learners, securing good outcomes
  • is a team member with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a commitment to forming excellent relationships with parents/carers

We are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to work across the primary age range. 

16.25 hrs daily & 6.25 hours lunchtime supervision

The post is for term time only.

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • The ability to work dynamically as a team across a year group supporting groups and 1:1 with pupils.
  • A creative, fun and engaging approach to learning.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly and proactively within a  

          rewarding but busy context.

  • Good communication skills and an ability to use own initiative
  • Successful and strong behaviour management skills (following the principles of

          the school Behaviour Policy closely) encompassing the principles of TIS and an

          empathetic approach to meeting children’s needs.

  • The ability to nurture and a commitment to Inclusion

The role will entail:

Working with a range of pupils in class and pupils with additional needs across the working day.

Supporting children with achieving academic progress and their SEMH development.

The role will also entail flexible working within the team and across the school day.

Estate & Facilities Site Operative

Grade: F1 to F6 depending on experience

£10.42 to £11.72 per hour

FTE Salary £20,082.87 to £22,610.11

25- 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are seeking to appoint a hard-working, committed and good humoured Site Operative to join our wonderful school team.

 The role will be varied assisting the Estates and Facilities Manager in maintaining the security, safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of all our school buildings, grounds and facilities as below;

  • To take responsibility for all aspects of site management including a wide range of duties connected with the fabric and grounds of the school. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs on suggested improvements to the general school environment.
  • To work with the facilities team in achieving their tasks.
  • To assist in developing and maintaining a profitable commercial events and lettings business.

The school is a well-respected primary school based in Truro and are seeking a reliable and capable candidate to fill this position.

Our ideal Site Operative will have:

  • Level 2 NVQ in a recognised trade or GCSE’s level qualifications plus suitable trade certificates/experience
  • Basic Health & Safety qualification/training/experience
  • Good standard of practical knowledge, skills and experience of building and grounds maintenance work
  • Knowledge of use & maintenance of general and/or specialist equipment
  • Training can be provided as required

 A current qualification to drive a minibus (D1) would be an advantage but not essential.
